Who says that they don't know good Chinese food in South Florida? Wow, this place was as good as you're going to find outside of NY, Boston or Chicago....a bit pricey and our server seemed a bit less than enthused about his job.....but I cannot wait to come back. Plus you can watch the horse races right outside of the huge window facade. Great time.

Disgusting. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Rude and unprofessional staff. Could not tell you about the food because we left. Horrible atmosphere. Just awful!

We went for lunch on a Sunday only because my dining companion had $83 to spend from casino loyalty funds. (the restaurant is located one floor above a casino). The interior of the restaurant is kind of strange. It's a mixture of 50's Vegas, run down Chinese lounge and red leather steakhouse. We found the staff to be fairly inept. It took way too long to have a waiter show up. We had two rounds of drinks a burger and a seafood sandwich. The tab including tax and automatic gratuity I'mwas $93. Thank goodness we had the $83 from the casino, because even with that it was exhorbitant. The food was all poor to fair. I am not sure who the target customers are. I guess older high rollers from the casino and racetrack. Surely not anyone who likes good food. $18 for a poor cheeseburger.Never again.

I've been here several times and can safely say that the Honey Garlic chicken is the best you'll ever have. I've also tried the sweet and sour chicken here (which was not as good) and the beef and broccoli (which on occasion is good). Their noodle and chicken soup is AMAZING. Really nice atmosphere, overlooking the race track. Very good service, I always feel comfortable and taken care off here. I'd have to agree with Mike, if you're under 40, you're probably going to be the youngest person/people there.

I ordered take out from here to be delivered to my hotel room. A bit shocked that a single mushu pork dish and soup was $30 + $5.00 tip, but convenient. Driver showed up to my room with no utensils for soup, and no pancakes for the Mushu Pork. Unfortunately I didn't think to check. So I'm drinking my soup out of the container and find a staple which luckily I didn't swallow. When I called back it was all excuses.... Person talked to owner who offered to credit me $5 out of $35. What a joke. Told him don't bother. Food was so so at best, warm, not hot, very little pork, and cost was top dollar. Biggest disappointment was owner had a chance to make it right and blew it. You can do better food wise, price wise and service wise.

This is a large beautiful asian restaurant in the brand new Gulf Stream Race Track in Hallandale Beach. The three of us went there this Sunday night for dinner. After the 45 minute wait at the bar (gorgeous bartenders and BIG pours there) we were seated at this very large, loud, Las Vegas style asian steakhouse and sushi bar. The floor to ceiling glass windows (we were lucky enough to get a window seat) overlook the horse racing track and amazing light show over the lake, as well as the beach front skyline. Very fast, friendly service meant we didn't have to wait for much of anything, even though this place seats over 500 people and was slammed. It is a loud restaurant as people are watching the many monitors to check their bets and are drinking pretty heavily. Fine with me I like this type of place. The food was good. The apps we had at the bar were very good, and the sushi was very fresh, with some unique rolls on the list. I also enjoyed the orange beef and my brother had the honey walnut shrimp entrees. We were there for almost 3 hours enjoying ourselves. This place is exciting, and there is a huge complex with Vegas style shopping, gambling downstairs, and two nightclubs. High end and just opened a month or two ago, with several other restaurants I can't wait to try!

Had a very good meal. This is not a high end "Gourmet" Chinese or Asian restaurant but it offers very good and tasty traditional American style Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Our group started with some appetizers, spareribs which were excellent, vegetable springs rolls which were good with a delicious hot chinese mustard sauce on the table and an excellent sashimi. Our main courses consisted of their Chinese steak with Chinese vegetables which was delicious even though it was perhaps a little overcooked, excellent chicken cashew that I am still salivating about the following morning, very good bok choy and excellent string beans. We also had excellent vegetable fried rice. Portions are a little on the small side, prices are on the high side, but then again this restaurant is/was an institution in South Florida, and it is part of a casino (higher end environment), so if you don't like spending money on Chinese food, then I would recommend going elsewhere. Most of the diners on a Saturday night in November seemed to be a little on the older side- but not the geriatrics from previous years past. The place seems a little disorganized, perhaps a little disjointed, but still accomodating. Service from our waitress was unrushed, but certainly not polished. Nice view of the race track and a nice bar as well. Although the bartenders seem to dwelve on things other than serving drinks. As a lover of Chinese food, it's good to find a good traditional American style Chinese restaurant, as South Florida has none, regardless of the many that talk about Silver Pond, Hong Kong House or Tropical Chinese. So for those that align themselves with myself, these are the best Chinese Chinese restaurants in South Florida: Gourmet Chinese: Rainbow Palace in Fort Lauderdale. Second Best Chinese: Uncle Tai's in Boca Raton. Best American Style Chinese: Christine Lee's. Note I have not tried Phillipe Chow or Mr. Chow both in South Beach, but did love many years ago Chrysanthemum that came from Montreal that could never get their act together and did not choose the right location.

This Location is within Gulf-stream Park, A giant laughing Buddha greets you along with a grand piano. FUN! Pretty, dark decor nicely spaced out so you are not in your neighbors business. Since it's on the 3rd floor overlooking the racetrack you get a gorgeous view. Besides eating here you won't miss a race and can place your wagers as there are tellers on both sides of the room. There is a large selection of Asian cuisine and very YUMMY steak. They have a good sirloin besides all of your usual other cuts. I also had their Sashimi combo melt in your mouth soooo good. As for cocktails HELLO...they make them good and strong. Go here with a group or on a date.

This restaurant is on the third floor of the Gulfstream Park race track and casino. and unlike the Twin Palms on the second floor offers something other than the buffet. Today we had a horse named Salty(I did not name it) running in the third race. We got there for the first race and looked over the menu which included Oriental dishes, A Shushi bar and steaks and other specialties. We ordered the lunchen specials Tilapia for my wife and rack of lamb for me The specials come with soup or salad, main course with veggies and a choice of potato. and ice cream for desert..We were served a crispy salad, warm rolls, but were concerned about the time crunch as we wanted to go down to the paddock to encourage our beast to run well. Our outstanding waiter, Mark, from Chinatown New York agreed to hold the main course until we had completed the project of positioning ourselves downstairs near the winners circle in case of a possible Salty victory. One can always hope that a 15 to 1 long shot will make it. Alas, Salty after running near the front of the pack soon began to retreat and finished next to lass. The only thing that saved the day was the great food and service. Our waiter got things going as soon as he saw our retinue hobbling over from the elevator. My rack of lamb was tender and delicious. Everything was first class including the grandiose rest rooms. Maybe next time we will even have a winning horse.

We were a party of 9 who made a reservation on Friday evening for lunch on Saturday. When we arrived, a gentleman quickly relayed to us that there was no reservation for 9. Subsequently the hostess or whatever her title is stated that our table was given away. I'm confused: how did we have a table for 9 and not have a reservation? After realizing their ludicrous comment, the lady proceeds to explain to me that they could not seat us in the main dining area. Mind you, the woman who took my reservation on Friday said that we would be seated in the main dining area and happily confirmed the reservation! 20 minutes later, our table ( which was essentially in the waiting area) was still not ready. When I told the hostess that we were leaving, she was indifferent. This was by far the worst experience and we didn't even sit down. Thankfully, we went to the another restaurant and had a lovely lunch. Customer service was apalling and I plan to never come here again. Quite Shameful- Christine Lee: please hire more competent staff as those you have currently are subpar.

A great old standby. This restaurant never disappoints. My family, friends, and I have been to this restaurant countless times throughout the years (even at their old location in Sunny Isles Beach) and have only had positive, satisfying, and fun experiences. The quality of the food is impeccable, the service is friendly and very professional, and the vibe is upscale, relaxed, and fun. The owner's hands on management of the restaurant ensures every detail of your experience at Christine Lee's will be pleasant and perfect! I really cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant.

Slow service, below average food, overly air conditioned dining room, dated decor and inflated prices. Fish was too sweet and over done. Calamari we obviously frozen and just meh. Gen Gao was greasy and more breaking than chicken. Lo Mein was swimming in oily sauce. I guess the track view is the only draw, that and the tasty Mai Tai I had. We paid the enormous check and ran. Stay away, lots of other options in Village at Gulfstream, anything would be better.

This place is just nice. It's simple. The ambiance is nice the view is superb and the food is well above average. We had a nice sampler, a couple great martinis, and a delicious 3 pound lobster. The desert was superb. The owner or manager checked on us and she was blissful. The service was great. We will be back.

Christine Lee's is on the 3rd floor of Gulfstream Park overlooking the race track, so if you score a table by the window, you can follow the action right over the finish line, aside from the TVs that are everywhere. However, both ambience and service are horrendous. The place looks like a casino or cruiseship from the 80s, and our waitress couldn't have cared less about anything. My expectation was to see somewhat authentic Chinese food, maybe some dim sum, since it was Sunday brunch time. The lunch menu is very limited, so be sure to ask for a dinner menu. The prices aren't that different, plus it has sushi on it. The spicy tuna roll was unmemorable and boring. My seared tuna salad was actually very good, but there was nothing Chinese about it. The Chinese entrees are super pricey, in the $30 to $40 range. Yes, portions are large enough to share and served with a pile of steamed rice, but you'd pay a fraction at any other Chinese restaurant. We tried a tofu veggie stir fry as well as an eggplant dish. Both very tasty, with brown sauces. My guess is they add MSG, because both the BF and I felt like crap/ hungover this morning. I think your safe bet here is not the Chinese food but the sushi.

I don't think that I will go back to this restaurant. My wife and I walked in and proceeded to the Captain's Desk where we were greeted by an older man. We explained to him that one of our friend's had made a reservation for 6 people and that we were celebrating two birthdays. He checked in the book and once he found the reservation, he told us that he will go and find Susan. Susan happened to be walking towards us and he began to tell her that we were a party of 6. She immediately replied,"I don't have a table for 6 by the window." Another woman then walks up behind Susan and Susan says,"Let me take care of this woman first." She then walks away with this other woman. What just happened? First of all, we didn't even ask for a table by the window. We just wanted to find out if there was a place that we could store the birthday cake until it was time to cut and eat it. Second of all, is that any way to treat potential customers? Susan probably sholdn't be working in customer service if this is the way that she normally acts. The older man offered to put the cake in the dessert pantry until we wanted it brought out. We then sat on the couch while we waited for the others to arrive. One of our friend's called and said that she was running late; however, she did mention that we were more than welcome to get a table and she was promised a table by the window when she made the reservation. So I walked up to the older man and just as I was about to let him know this, Susan comes strolling towards me and says, "I am setting up your table for 6 by the window." But didn't you just say 5 minutes ago that you didn't have a table by the window? What is going on here? She then quickly walks away before I can even figure out what is happening. So my wife and I are led to the table a few minutes later and once everyone arrives, we begin to order food. I chose the General Tso's Chicken with wonton soup and brown rice. The chicken was not great seeing as how they advertise themselves as a Chinese restaurant. The soup was probably the best thing about the meal. Almost everyone complained about how tasteless and bland their food was except for the 2 people that ordered Peking Duck. They seemed to like their meal. The other annoying aspect of this restaurant is that the food is overpriced. They request that you spend at least $25/ person but considering the entrees are all in that price range, it's not that difficult to spend $25. The waiter was decent although at times he disappeared. He did cut the cake and serve it which was nice. This whole experience started out miserably and it didn't get much better. Susan was a complete you-know-what and I can't believe that they allow her to deal with customers. I really can't see myself eating here again.

When I was a kid (before the internet) Christine Lee's was a Miami Beach legend mentioned in the same breath as Joe's or the Forge. When it reopened in its 5 or 6th iteration at Gulfstream my childhood memories returned. But, despite the spectacular view of the track the vast dining room provides the food is just blah as was evidence on our visit on Mother's Day 2014. I'd go back, today if I could. But not for the food. Id go back for the comfort and excitement of a day at the track. Too and the food isn't any better.

terrible terrible service, the food is the same or lesser quality then your corner Chinese restaurant. 1 of the 2 stars because it has a great view. the prices are ridiculous. the view is not worth that much and the parking and getting to the 3rd floor is a hike I would not go back.

I've been a Christine Lee's customer since the early 70's. Last night we celebrated a family members' birthday there. It had been about four months since my last visit. Service was very good; I can't say the same for some of the food. We ordered appetizers including spare ribs, egg rolls and a third item that was so unmemerable I've forgotten what it was. The spare ribs were very good but the egg rolls suffered from a too thick wrapper and filler that was borderline mush with little taste. The mains were a pork chow mein, chicken fried rice and some sushi for me. The chow main was very nice, probably the best dish of the night. The fried rice was okay but nothing to write home about. My sushi was inedible. The Yellow Tail (Hamachi) was dry and included way too much bloodline meat. The Tekka Maki roll had an funky, unpleasant taste and the Nori tasted old. This was the second poor eating experience in my last two visits. It will be a very long time before we step foot in there again!

This was the biggest disappointment. They were completely empty at 5 in the evening. Took my entire family here expecting excellent quality food. It was the most commercial Chinese food, and everything tasted terrible. The service was the worst we had ever encountered. After a few mix ups in our dishes, rude staff and terrible food, and expensive prices, I don't know how they're in business.

Had an amazing dinner here tonight. We were treated so nice by Mary Lee and Staff. The sampler platter while not calorie friendly was so good. Ribs, egg rolls and chicken wings and fried shrimp. Yummy. We were a group of six. The room looks beautiful at night by the way. If you like casino or poker or horse racing that's a bonus because you can bet the ponies in there and go to casino or poker after. For entrees all the ladies chose the sea bass.. Steamed veggies were perfect. Also side of sauteed bok choi hit the slot. Sushi for one of the guys and a strip steak for another. Everyone was very happy. Dessert was shared - a decadent molten chocolate cake with ice cream. No complaints about anything. Very happy. And very full. We all took home leftovers. Can't wait for lunch tomorrow to eat them. Highly recommend.

We are picky when we go to Chinese Restaurants. If the food quality does not meet the price, then we are disappointed. We don't like American version of Asian food either. Located on the 3rd floor of the Gulfstream Horse race track & Casino overlooking the race track was definitely unique. Not a lot of Asian decor but there is one impressive statue of a Buddha at the entrance. Follow the signs and you will find the place. We came when Miami Spice was on, but opted for the regular menu. We ordered soup, Chritne's special, house fried rice and eggplant garlic. Soup was the hot and sour soup which was tasty with not overcooked herbs -good for price. Christine Special was a combination of variety seafood on a bed of noodles. It tasted good and was a very large serving that could easily feed 2-4. All platters were large servings. Found it overpriced even though it included scallops lobster shrimp. They were cooked excellent but was not falling over with seafood. At $38 you decide, tasted excellent, large serving plate, lots of noodles. Tasty. Eggplant with garlic was good for traditional Asian fare (dim sum like) Our favorite dish was the house fried rice. You can have it served on white rice or rice blended with soy sauce. If you don't have a sodium restriction take the soy sauce blend. Very tasty with lots if shrimp.

Bizarre. This place is like two restaurants in one, a Chinese restaurant and a steakhouse. It is not a Chinese steakhouse. I decided I was going to try and get the sauteed bean curd and vegetables with brown sauce. Trying to find out what was in the brown sauce was like pulling teeth. I posed the question to the waiter and his response was "soybeans." I tried to clarify that there was no beef broth or fish sauce in it and he said "no fish, just soybeans." Now I was pissed off. This guy obviously has no idea how to make a brown sauce. He had this idea that you just take soybeans and magically they are brown sauce. I walked up to somebody else and told them that my waiter had no idea what a brown sauce was and said that it was usually made with a base of soy sauce, cornstarch, oil, broth, and either oyster or fish sauce. I said that I needed to find out if there was fish or beef in there. This person didn't understand either and NOBODY cared to ask the kitchen. If I want to know what I'm eating I have a right to know! Finally my waiter came back from the kitchen and said he checked and there was no fish. Still not sure about the beef though, but I figured I had made enough of a fuss and when I tasted the sauce I didn't really get any beef flavor so I assumed I was good. It didn't stop me from questioning every bite. The food was mediocre but not awful. They messed up a few things, though. My brother got a steak and asked for it medium. They overcooked it and it was tough. My dad got a fish and asked for no bones, but they gave it to him with bones. The waiter took the bones out tableside which was more bizarre than nice. It was also really loud with people yelling at horse races or sporting events on the TVs. Not a comfortable atmosphere at all. I would never come back.

This place is simply one of S. FLAs best kept secrets. Chinese food and Horse racing, an unlikely combo that works so well. The food is fantastic, one of the best Duck dishes in town! It's no rush dining in a great atmosphere.

My rating system (5 is the best) Food=3 // Service=2.5 // Attitude=4 // Crowd=Normal & Degenerate Gamblers // Consistency=Yes // Bathrooms=Clean // Overrated=Yes If you are from NY, LA or San Fran. lower your expectations, if your are from Florida you will think it is good. This is a pretty mediocre experience and I'd have to say PF Changs has better food. The atmosphere and view of Gulfstream track is great - but if they are running a race - it will be loud. The noodles they start you off with are from a bag. The tea you have to ask for... and the service is a bit lost. The hot and sour soup was pretty good and had some heat. The bean curd and vegetables was fresh, but the sauce was thick and too sweet. The eggplant dish was good, and well cooked, but the sauce tasted very generic. The fried rice was tasty, but the vegetables came from a bag and the mushrooms from a can. The sweet and sour chicken was well cooked - but once again the sauce just didn't taste authentic. It was nice to see Christine Lee making the rounds and serving food - I guess she really cares... Overall, it is better than most (in Florida), and would never make it in NY.

Seriously people...this is rated as one of the best Chinese places in SoFlo...really!?! Umm yeah nice view of a track & spacious place but the food was very average...I guess you can call it good compared to the Chinese that is in South Florida but in comparison to real Chinese from any China Town hell nooo! Was it hot yes...was it fresh yes...did it have authentic flavors NO...very bland. Cashew chicken medium spice...compared to who someone who has lost their taste buds? Not bad just not great and not spicy. Some seafood mix platter it was not wonderful and not disgusting. The special fried rice not great and not nasty. Steamed dumplings...not horrible. Veryyyy disappointed to say the least. Would I go back...nahhh not unless I was a starving gambling obsessed winning drunken fool.

This restaurant is on the third floor of the Gulfstream Park race track and casino, and I have eaten here multiple times over the last year, both during racing days where a good view of the track can be achieved with a window view or at night when some live music takes over and Gulfstream Park racing casino & Shopping center get into full bloom. Pretty upscale considering and prices are not inexpensive for Chinese food, but this more "Asian Fusion" than your standard oriental fare. Moving from the Old Thunderbird hotel back in the 70's & 80's to their RK Plaza location in the 90's to their now new home for quite a few years in my opinion the place hasn't changed much. Better than average is the best they get from me. A recent review went something like this. Egg Rolls still a 10 on a scale of 1-10 egg rolls. Crispy outside with nice egg roll filling including some baby shrimp. Always consistent and quite large. Hot & Sour Soup: Honestly completely lacking in flavor even though it looked great. Just nothing to write home about. Special Wonton soup: Giant bowl with shrimp, roast pork, vegetables, & of course giant wonton's. I thought the broth was a bit bland if not on the fish side as were the shrimp. I'd pass. World Famous prime Sirloin Steak. 12 Oz $36.00 had this as part of their summer dinner special which for $35.00 includes choice of appetizer, soup Entree with side and desert. Honestly can't beat that deal with a stick. Steak was delicious cooked to perfection with incredible flavor. See above for soup & appetizer reviews. Note the $26.00 lunch Prime Steak Sandwich with side including pickle, lettuce & tomatoes on a roll is the same steak. I always enjoy the sandwich so this was a no brainer. Some other interesting entrees: Shrimp Scampi with garlic cream sauce. Sauce rich and tasty but I don't understand the fishiness to all their shrimp dishes here. $28.00 General Tso's Chicken: 17.00 with side of white rice a bit overcooked for me. Orange Chicken: prepared traditionally is one of their best Asian meals. Mooshoo Pork: Also traditional with pancakes, and various sauces another consistently good presentation. Their pork fried rice and special rice are both don't miss options. All and all its always better than average but aside from their Steak Sandwich or solo I can't give this anything more than the 2.5 stars which it should be 3 stars as again YELP WE NEED HALF STARS. Ok but not a I have to come back soon place.

I used to love this place but when I order a seafood dish and I am allergic to scallops I expect them to make it up in shrimp, as I requested and they wanted to up charge me!!! Scallops per pound are way more expensive, as a top restaurant the person taking the order should of consulted with the chef or the manager, a few extra shrimp instead of scallops are saving the restaurant food cost! Get a clue! That shows lack of consideration and greed.

We came because we won Miami spice dinners at a silent auction. Based on the bad reviews I was ready for a dismal experience. I was pleasantly surprised. The apps: egg roll was delicious, pork dumplings were ok. Main course was Mongolian beef - out of this world, walnut chicken was tasty but not as good as beef. Gratuity was not included as other poster stated. Overall it was very good, not sure if I would want to pay the 95 dollars this would have been without our certificates though. That was two dinners with two cocktails for 95 a bit pricey for Chinese.

I was introduced to Christine Lee's at Gulfstream Park about two years ago and have been going there almost regularly ever since. If you haven't been there it is on the third floor of the Gulfstream Casino/Racetrack. Valet parking is available or you can choose a self-parking spot in the vast parking area. Michelle was able to secure tickets for a recent Beatlemania Now (see more below) show at Gulfstream and we followed the show with a late night dinner at Christine Lee's. The show ended at 9:45 and a quick elevator ride got us in Christine Lee's in about 3 minutes. We were seated immediately, ordered some drinks and an appetizer for Michelle; her favorite shrimp cocktail. She liked it so much there was no hesitation when I suggested she order another because she ate the first before I could get a picture. Steve and I decided to split a Chicken breast dinner which comes with two very large boneless breasts. Michelle and Ilona split the half broiled chicken. Both entrees came with a salad and a side. Steve allowed me the salad, which was very fresh. He also passed on the baked potato and selected combination fried rice as his side. I added a side of creamed spinach to compliment my meal. Gianni, our waiter, was extremely efficient and his assistant kept our drinks full. At the end of our meal Gianni presented a special dessert with a candle for Michelle and I celebrating two years of meeting one another. It was quite a surprise! Christine Lee's has an enigmatic menu. The menu is mostly Asian specialties but the House Special is their Prime Rib and Prime Sirloin Steaks. I've had both and they are definitely worth the price. The desserts are worth leaving room for. The great thing about Christine Lee's is that you can make a whole night out all in one location. Take a walk thru the Village of Gulfstream Park, watch the horses race, take a chance at the slots. have a good time!

This is an upscale restaurant serving both Chinese, sushi and sashimi, and American fare, including burgers and salads. Prices are higher than you would normally pay for Chinese food, but you are paying for ambiance, too. They are noted for their steaks. Service was excellent. We had the walnut chicken, cashew chicken and a spicy shrimp dish with a side order of brown rice. Restaurant is very busy during racing season and a lot less crowded in summer.

They Did it !!!! Amazing they built a new restaurant mimicking a worn out sub par Chinese restaurant you would find in a Crappy out of date Casino in old downtown Vegas in the late 80s !! it must of cost Millions to re create ,,,Even down to the crooner on the piano singing out of key 80s love anthems Wow awesome !! Think that's it Nnoooo They spent literally maybe tens of dollars training staff to be aloof ,non responsive even teaching them the art of seeming aggravated at the most simple requests ,,,But just in case you don't appreciate the training and effort that goes into creating this incredulous dining experience they do add 18% automatically to your bill regardless of how many people are dining.. My only real disappointment is that they couldn't quite get the odor right ,really could do with that musty ,old beer and cigarette, with a touch of maple syrup perfume to give it the full experience !! I would go onto describing the food ,Butt after reading this far if you decide to go, you should have to experience that for yourself !!

I went to the Gulfstream Park track during the non-racing season to check out Chistine Lee's restaurant. There original restaurant was opened in Miami nearly 40 years ago. In Miami, great Chinese food is difficult to find especially the dry non-saucy type that I like. First of all, Christine Lees is located on the 3rd floor of Gulfstream Park track. To get there, you can enter at either Highway 1 and Hallandale Beach Blvd or on Hallandale Beach Boulevard. There are two well-marked entrances and a huge parking lot with both self and valet parking ($5.00). The Casinos are located on the first and second floor and on the third floor is Christine Lees which has a very large window on the East side of the restaurant overlooking Gulfstream Park. The tables by the window and the view is unmatched for dinning and viewing a race. We started with the house speciality, Barbecued Spareribs and Pan Fried Dumplings. The Spareribs were some of the best I've ever tried, meaty, tender and flavorful. The dumpling were perfectly cooked and there was a generous amount of filing. We also had an order of California rolls which was much better than I would have expected. There signature dish is their World Famous Prime Sirloin Steak. We ordered a large one and had them slice it up and serve it family style. It came with your choice of a baked potato, french fries, sweet fries or potato skins and a tossed salad, hot rolls and butter. I was not overwhelmed but it so I was glad we ordered family style. At a Chinese restaurant, two items that are very important to me are their Lo Mein and their Fried Rice. Both of these dishes were two of the best I've tasted in South Florida, very dry the way I like it and generous amounts of finely cut high quality meat. We ordered the Beef Fried Rice and the Chicken Lo Mein. There is a large bar, plenty of flat screen TVs and a piano player catering to the retired community of South Florida. It's no SOBE, but I imagine it would be a very different experience on race day.

My friend and I had late reservations for Saturday evening. Despite the late evening, this place was still hopping. The atmosphere was lively. We were lucky to have a table by the window which is a beautiful view of the high rise buildings along the coast. The service was good and the lychee martinis are the best in town! My friend ordered the walnut shrimp which didn't sound like a great combination but it was really good! I ordered the cashew chicken and it didn't disappoint. The best part was the leftovers the next day.

We went to charity affair for the Borward County Homeless. Good meal, great bar. Martini: an overwhelmed bartender made a PERFECT MARTINI for me. Salad--fine, Steak--the best I've had in Florida Salmon-- moist, firm, just right Pistachio Ice Cream-- fine. Service--even with a huge crowd the service was unblemished. I'll be back for a regular meal...

I dont know what all the negative reviews were about but eating here was a nice experience. The service, the staff and food were all top notch and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice quiet, enjoyable meal. From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated over looking the race track and lake with no waiting(This is on a Friday night during the off season). Not a minute sitting down and the waiter, Yong came and asked us if we wanted a drink and appitizer to start. He was great the whole time, continually checking on us and refilling our drinks. We had the bbq ribs, house lo mein and sweet and sour shrimp. All 3 were really good. Its probably a great place to go and watch the horse races during the season, but still the overall atmosphere(with an enjoyable lounge singer singing in the background) was nice. And I dont know what the complaint about the added 18% gratuity added to their bill, but they must have had a large group as that didnt happen to us. Its on the pricy side for chinese food, but I think a lot of places are overpriced here in Miami.

I can't undersatnd the hype. Sushi bar good, the rest of the food bland and lack of flavor. Expensive. Won't go back.
